I founded Dawson Relocation Services in 2008—because I understood that downsizing and moving a lifetime is overwhelming and emotional. I wanted to create a way to honor the emotions while helping to manage the logistics of this change.
Over time, many of the families that we helped with relocation services returned to us for help managing the emotional and complex process of sorting through the homes of their loved ones when they passed away. We developed a means for guiding people through this, and this has become Dawson Estate Services.
What makes this work truly special to us, is that we get to know you—we learn who you are and what is important to you. We become part of your team. We take a hands-on approach and work with you to help create the best version of your home.
As a small business owner, this is the approach I take too. I love the challenge of running a business, and working with my team. I am a leader in professional organizations, National Association of Senior Move Managers and Illinois Continuity of Care – Chicago Chapter. And yet, I still meet regularly with clients and work directly with them on their projects. It is important to me to stay connected to what truly matters about this business, helping people navigate the changes.
